Arena Pony Dressage
The Arena Pony Dressage is a dressage saddle with HART, made for ponies and smaller horses. It suits young riders getting serious about their flatwork and first dressage tests.
The close contact feel keeps you connected to your pony, while the comfortable seat, front Flexibloc and padded knee insert help you sit still and give clear aids. It is a natural next step from a general purpose saddle.
Your pony can move freely and stay comfortable as their shape changes. The saddle is made from European leather with a technical, wipe-clean lining.
HART: Horse and Rider Technology
Horse and Rider Technology is the epitome of comfort with the added practicality of being fully adjustable, so you and your horse are presentation perfect throughout your journey.
- Elastiflex tree: flexes with your horse's stride, so their back can swing and move naturally, and helps protect the spine from concussive forces.
- EASY-CHANGE Fit Solution: you or your saddle fitter can change the width of the Elastiflex tree with the EASY-CHANGE Gullet System, and change the depth of the panel to alter the balance with the EASY-CHANGE Riser System.
- CAIR Cushion System: air cushions stay in contact with your horse's moving back muscles, spreading pressure evenly and absorbing shock so your horse can move freely.

Size Guide
For your saddle
- Check your saddle is perfectly positioned. Locate the slope of you horse’s shoulder and assess the alignment of the saddle nail. For the perfect comfortable position, the saddle nail should be approximately a three-finger distance from the edge of your horse’s shoulder.
For your horse
- Saddle up your horse without a saddle pad* and with the girth comfortably tightened, as if you were about to ride.
- Ensure your horse is standing square and on level ground.
All fitting adjustments and saddle alterations should be made in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.*For your safety, ensure your horse is OK with you assessing the fit without a saddle cloth before attempting to do so.

Which riser pack fits the Arena Pony Dressage?
Pony saddles use the EASY-CHANGE Riser System: Pony/Jump Pack. The Standard Pack and Standard Starter Pack are not suitable for pony saddles. Can the saddle be adjusted as my pony changes shape?
Yes. You or your saddle fitter can swap the gullet to change the width of the Elastiflex tree, and use risers to change the depth of the panel to alter the balance. Both changes can be reversed. Can I adjust the CAIR cushions myself?
No. The CAIR cushions are never adjusted themselves. Changes to panel depth and balance are made with risers in a separate pocket, and breaking the CAIR security tape voids the warranty. -
Approximate weight: 4.6 kg/10.1 lb. Weights vary a little by size and options. Fitted with a Medium (black) EASY-CHANGE gullet. The EASY-CHANGE Gullet System: Complete Kit, EASY-CHANGE Riser System: Pony/Jump Pack and EASY-CHANGE Gullet Gauge are available separately, as are a girth and stirrup leathers. Fit is about comfort, balance and how your horse moves, not one number on a chart, so we would always start with a qualified saddle fitter you trust.
